Help Switzerland’s leading premium biscuit brand enhance its status and express the diversity of its product portfolio

CONTEXT

The Kambly brand, created in Switzerland by the family of the same name in 1910, is the highest-quality biscuit brand on the market with several tens of portfolio products. Contending with aggressive local and international rivals, it was time for Kambly to reassert its leadership and regain its head start on the competition.

CHALLENGE

The challenge was to find a contemporary way to express the idea of premium quality without losing touch with the company’s soul and values, or its unwavering commitment to quality excellence, a pioneering spirit, and innovation.
At the same time, show the diversity of a portfolio that includes several tens of products and manage brand communication throughout the year (seasonal products and assortments).

SOLUTION

Dragon Rouge:
- Created a new identity worthy of a major international brand and inspired by the leading Swiss watchmakers: dense red, stabilized typography accompanied by a new gold baseline: “Swiss excellence since 1910”;
- Overhauled the packaging system to reinforce the idea of a “tasting” experience: new precut openings in inside packs, Japanese-inspired paper-like flowpack system enveloping biscuits, new shapes and color codes for the blisters.
We also introduced a new packaging design based on the idea of the “Art of Dessert”, with biscuits presented on a plate as they would be in a three-star restaurant and an emphasis on the sensorial experience afforded by each product.
In addition to reworking the Kambly range, Dragon Rouge is now a partner to the company for all of its visual communication, including, among others, for seasonal campaigns.
