If you want to be a part of the team, it just so happens that we’re looking for an Account Director to manage senior client relationships and ensure that projects are consistently delivered to the highest level!


At Dragon Rouge, the Account Director is seen by clients as a knowledgeable, trusted and professional partner. With an excellent understanding of clients’ business and the broader business context, the Account Director also contributes towards our business development drive, seeking new opportunities within existing clients, networking and developing and delivering effective Key Account plans to grow in line with changes in the market and client teams.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

-Develop concise, inspiring ways of briefing internal teams, writing excellent briefs and arranging effective briefing sessions and internal review sessions.

-Facilitate and lead the internal work review process.

-Write inspiring and engaging proposals, presentations and reports.

-Deliver profitable projects and promote a mindset within the team of delivering projects to high quality within budgets and timescales.

-Management of project finances including revenue forecasting and invoicing.

-Seek out new opportunities with existing clients through networking, anticipating client needs and taking initiatives.

-Win new work from existing clients through delivering high quality projects and developing a broad range of excellent, trust-based relationships with clients based on understanding of their business.

-Develop and deliver effective Key Account plans to meet growth targets –monitor these plans and continue to grow in line with changes in the market and client teams.

-Lead and manage the preparation of proposals and pitches, working with consultants/designers where appropriate and coordinating all output and ensuring highest standards.

-Lead credentials presentations as appropriate.

-Contribute to maintaining a pipeline of new client prospects, driving growth through actively contributing to achieving the new business plan.

-Proactively spotting opportunities to respond to.

-Maintain and build a network of contacts that can open up new business opportunities.

-Create ideas for initiatives, working with the business development team to deliver these.

-Ensure an excellent understanding of best practice thinking about brands and an awareness of the ‘bigger picture’ issues that drive opportunities and provide important context.

-Maintain and further develop knowledge and skills relevant to areas worked in, keeping up with emerging thinking and best practice in key areas and displaying a high level of professional competence.

-Demonstrate a good understanding of the full Dragon Rouge offer.

-In line with the market, consumer and client dynamic, being aware of interesting and relevant ways to enhance and differentiate the Dragon Rouge offer.

-Attend industry events and contribute to discussions, representing Dragon Rouge confidently and positively.

-Suggest opportunities for reputation building and ideas for communications.

-Use social media, for example, Twitter and LinkedIn, to build networks and share professional information.

Planning and organising: ability to plan, organise and manage numerous projects simultaneously.

Critical thinking: strong analytical skills to diagnose and identify solutions.

Creative and innovative: open and original thinker that strives to seek out interesting solutions to problems and new ways to add value to the business by taking a creative approach to all work.

Knowledgeable: a determination to learn and develop relevant knowledge through reading journals and books, attending seminars and sharing the content and ideas with others.

Experience Required

-Proven experience working at a senior level within client services., ideally within a recognised design and branding agency, and with exposure to both corporate and consumer projects.

-Knowledge of commercial brand strategy, along with the technical processes required for the production and delivery of client work.

-Strong literacy, numeracy, administration and organisational skills.
Highly proficient in the use of PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
