Musée Olympique Lausanne

Keep the flame alive

The Olympic Museum dreamed up by Pierre de Coubertin himself on the shores of Lake Geneva, reopened its doors after 23 months of work.
Beyond celebrating the Olympic games, the idea of this museum was to share the Olympic spirit and to highlight its contribution to yesterday, today and tomorrow’s society.

As part of this major restructuring, the IOC asked us to design the hospitality spaces: the reception, shops, two restaurants (TOM café brasserie, Club Coubertin) and the cloakrooms.
We worked with an international team of museum experts, architects and manufacturers to create the concept of these special places. They’re all linked with Olympic memories. They become a witness to the modern vitality of its spirit, jointly creating a place that could not exist anywhere else.
