OpenClassrooms, the online training platform – a French jewel of EdTech that attracts more than 3 million people in 130 countries each month – seeks to revolutionise the traditional education model thanks to a unique educational approach based on customised follow-up.
Its new identity aims to support the international conquest dynamics of the start-up, which responds to the professions of the future thanks to 100% online professionalising and certifying training courses, which guarantee a job for everyone.
The new brand highlights this promise with a new face that places access to education at the heart of everything. Our creative concept called “Open Worlds” illustrates the idea of opening up the worlds (intellectual, cultural, creative…) to make knowledge more palatable, useful and unifying.
From the logo to the shape codes, the colour system and even the choice of typographies, the entire graphic territory creatively and technically calls for sharing and learning in complete freedom: everything is designed to be easily adaptable (e.g. the choice of open fonts) and accessible to all profiles (e.g. work on contrasts for the visually impaired).
By adding such a meaning to the design, the brand conveys a strong message in its expression: that of a company that opens up the world of possibilities thanks knowledge open to all, that invites to become an expert, an “opener,” who, in turn, can share new skills.
This graphic evolution is also part of the company’s spectacular growth, supported this summer by a record fundraising campaign ($60 million) and the implementation of key partnerships (Google, IBM, Orange, etc.), which already suggests the continued and upcoming successes of the company and its education model.
