The Nicest place to eat
Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, innovates and creates the experience.
While the France’s second largest airport, was starting a major refurbishment of its terminals, it issued a tender to renovate its catering concessions. A great number of those spaces were undertaken by the Michelin-starred chef Thierry Marx. We conceived “La Plage de Thierry Marx” with the chef’s team.
This is the first time a beach bar/restaurant/plancha is set up with that much realism in an airport: sand foor, floating docks, stretched-canvas sails, deck chairs, sofas, palm trees and suspended seats, … Everything was thought to recreate the atmosphere of the coast’s chic bars along the Croisette in Cannes or Saint-Tropez in the middle of the airport.



From the departure hall, we distinguish the giant white and blue slide as the emblem of this unique place. Welcome to "La Plage".




I wanted to recreate a joyful and festive atmosphere and extend the experience of a stay in the French Riviera up until the gate checks
